Bathroom Design Tips: Storage and Accessories Ideas (Part 1)
The accessories you choose for your bathroom will be a matter of personal taste, but here are some general tips and ideas.
Tip One: Which accessories. Let the accessories complement the style of interior decoration you used in the bathroom. There is such a wide range to choose from, from contemporary chrome and shiny porcelain to beautiful natural wood or practical plastic, and in a wide range of attractive colors, that it should be possible to match it. The bathroom will look less messy if you do so.
Tip Two: Positioning accessories. Towel rails, soap dishes, shelves and so on must be positioned carefully if your bathroom is to function efficiently. Having towels and toiletries close to hand will make your time spent in the bathroom as comfortable as possible.
Tip three: Bathroom storage. Storage space for towels and the accouterments of washing and grooming is a necessity. But you do not have to limit yourself to cupboard storage, however, as many of these items add character and color to a room when displayed on open shelving. Towels can be used as an integral part of your color scheme, introducing additional tone or contrast to the room. Medicines and cleaning products, however, must be kept safely out of harms way in a family bathroom, especially when there are kids in your home.
Tip four: Another Bathroom storage tip. A generously sized family bathroom may offer the perfect home for a range of laundry and linen baskets. There are designs available that will complement and enhance any decorative scheme, just have a look on the most famous shopping sites.
Good Luck with designing and enhancing your bathroom.
